  1. v0.8.0

    Prices checked dates

    • Every tool page now shows when its prices were last checked, right under Pricing at a glance.
    • We now re-check AI Dictation prices every week, so the dates stay fresh.
    • A new changelog page (this one) lists what changes on the site.
  2. v0.7.0

    AI Dictation and alternative guides

    • New category: AI Dictation, with nine voice-typing tools such as Wispr Flow, Superwhisper and Aqua Voice.
    • Two alternative guides are live, with a visual header and shareable previews.
    • You can now book an ad spot and pay for it online.
    • The site is open to search engines, so you can find us on Google.
    • A fresh logo and the aiternative.dev name in the header.
    • The More menu on the tools page no longer gets cut off.
  3. v0.6.0

    Friendlier errors and clearer scoring

    • If a page is missing or something goes wrong, you now see a clear message instead of a blank screen.
    • How we score is linked in the top menu, and the page was updated.

    AI Meeting Notes and AI Image

    • New category: AI Meeting Notes, with 12 tools that record, transcribe and summarize meetings.
    • New category: AI Image, with 15 tools, including tools that are mainly video but also make images.
    • A tool can now appear in more than one category, so you can find it wherever you look.

    AI Video and AI SEO

    • New category: AI Video, with more than 25 video generators from Runway and Kling to Midjourney and Google Flow.
    • New category: AI SEO, with writing tools and trackers that show how AI search mentions your brand.
    • The tools page can sort by latest additions, and that is now the default.
    • The Cheaper tag now goes to the three lowest-priced tools in a category.

    More tools, search and submissions

    • New category: coding agents and IDEs, with Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, Devin, GitHub Copilot and more.
    • Search for any tool from the header.
    • Suggest a tool to us on the new Submit page.
    • Pricing and Features are now scored separately. We dropped the single overall score because it hid too much.
    • Tools in AI UGC grew to nearly twenty, with prices in euros where the tool charges in euros.

    Easier alternatives pages

    • Scores on alternatives pages are explained in plain language.

    • The first tools go live, each with a Pricing score and a Features score from a published rubric.
